Portfolio domain transferred to One.com

Moving portfolio from its Netlify domain to One.com.

I’ve been putting off transferring my portfolio from its old Netlify domain to my own domain through One.com for quite some time now, mainly because I knew it would probably turn into one of those “this should be simple but somehow isn’t” situations— and that proved pretty accurate.

The process itself involved changing DNS settings, configuring records correctly, and waiting for the domain to connect to Netlify. Getting everything configured properly took a bit more trial and error than I expected, especially ensuring the DNS records were set up correctly on both platforms.

At one point, the domain simply just refused to connect properly, even though the records looked correct. After a lot of trial and error, some patience, and several attempts to adjust the settings, I finally managed to get everything working as intended.

It honestly feels really satisfying to finally have the portfolio connected to my own domain after putting it off for so long. In my opinion, it just makes the site feel much more complete and polished now that everything is finally set up properly.
